Task 6: Projects

We learned about Projects, Project-Based Learning, and Service Learning, and tasked to design a lesson plan using one of the three methodologies. We decided to orient our project around the guiding question of "How can we make our school more environmentally-friendly?" with students asked to identify environmental problems in their school, and come up with their own solutions. Although the students have some degree of flexibility in the final product (they can choose which presentation tool to use), this is fundamentally a Project rather than Project-Based Learning, given how much structure and guidance is provided to students.
