Task 1: Flipgrid

This week, we investigated schools around the world which are recognised for their innovative approach to education. To share our findings, we each published brief, one-minute videos on "Flipgrid", a video-sharing tool in which students can quickly and easily create videos, organised into groups and tasks. Access to these groups and videos is stricly controlled by the administrator, making it a perfect tool for use in the classroom with young learners.

Flipgrid is a very simple tool, but with some very interesting educational applications. Frequently we ask students to provide written reports or exercises: essentially, focussing on written skills. This tool provides a simple and secure way to turn any number of written assignments into tasks which give students an opportunity to practice their oral communication.
